How to use this site:
About: Food, Wine, Life's Pleasures is a collaborative effort by Rich Chapin, Cordy Shea and friends. We hope the site will be useful and informative and, as much as possible, will avoid unnecessary editorializing. As much of what appears here will be "Recommentations" of one sort or another, this may be difficult but the general intention is that recommendations will have some basis.
Making Comments: Please make comments directly or send email. The site will not be worth the effort without you collaboration. To make comments, simply follow the red "Comments" link on any page or post:
- Your comments will be posted automatically. ( If you want to send us information that should not be posted, send us email. )
- You do not need a TypePad account to make comments.
- Your email will not appear in your comment but will be available to us.
If you want to make a comment or suggestion on a topic that we have not covered, consider commenting on the Open Mike page.

Simple Site Map:
Alerts - Time sensitive information that we will keep current. ( Open to comments.)
Quick Hits - The fastest way to cut to the chase - a dated list of current news, recommendations, etc. ( Closed to comments.)
Open Mike - Our most optimistic page. Use this page to make comments or suggestions that do not seem to have a better location.
Recommendations - Good stuff that we have found in local markets. We are unsure about deleting things from this list if and when they become hard to find. ( Individual posts open to comments )
Food, Wine, Life's Pleasures Home - Our home page is currently a 3 column design with the most recent post front and center. Links appear left and right and "notes ... " in the bottom right column tries to make use of the above-the-fold real estate to add information of particular interest.
Archives - A long page displaying all posts from most to least recent.( Individual posts open to comments )
Merchants and Producers - links to the stores and farms that we have mentioned. As the list grows we may manage this information in a different manner. We have no formal relationships, except as shoppers and admirers, to these folks and have not, as yet, told them that we are linking to them, but we will soon. ( Closed to comments, but open to suggetions. )
